The announcement was made during the company’s Q3 FY26 investor briefing, where senior management outlined its near-term product strategy for one of India’s most important motorcycle brands.

The Pulsar range currently spans engine capacities from 125cc to 400cc and remains Bajaj Auto’s highest-volume product line in both domestic and global markets.

Eight updated Pulsars planned

Speaking during the earnings call, Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director at Bajaj Auto, said the company is preparing a series of updates across the Pulsar portfolio. These revisions will include a mix of cosmetic changes, equipment upgrades and, in some cases, more substantive updates.

While Bajaj has not shared a detailed launch calendar or model-wise breakdown, the company indicated that the refresh programme will be rolled out progressively over the coming months, with completion targeted by May 2026.

Range-wide changes expected

The Pulsar line-up in India currently includes entry-level models, the N series, the NS range and the fully-faired RS variants, covering a price band from around Rs 81,000 to Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Since November 2025, Bajaj has already begun updating its portfolio with revised versions of the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. The upcoming phase is expected to be more comprehensive, extending across multiple engine categories, particularly in the high-volume 125cc and 150cc-plus segments.

Among the different Pulsar sub-brands, the NS series is expected to receive the most significant attention. The Pulsar NS160 and NS200 are likely candidates for such updates. While their engines are expected to remain largely unchanged, design and equipment revisions could be inspired by the newer NS400 Z, which introduced a more modern visual identity and feature list.

In contrast, the N series, which is based on a relatively newer platform, is unlikely to undergo major mechanical changes in the immediate future. Updates here are expected to be incremental.

There is also discussion around repositioning the flagship naked Pulsar. Bajaj has indicated it may consider revising engine displacement to bring certain models under a lower tax slab, potentially improving pricing competitiveness.

Additionally, a next-generation Pulsar Classic has been acknowledged as part of the future pipeline, though timelines remain unconfirmed.
