The Tata Punch EV facelift is offered in six variants spread across two battery pack options. Prices range from Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to the outgoing model, the base variant is now priced Rs 30,000 lower, improving its value proposition for first-time EV buyers.

The variant-wise pricing structure allows buyers to choose between shorter urban commutes and longer-range usage, depending on their needs and budget.

New Battery Option and Improved Range

A key update for the Punch EV facelift is the introduction of a larger 40kWh battery pack. This new option delivers an ARAI-claimed range of 468 km, with a real-world C75 range of 355 km. The existing 30kWh battery continues, offering a claimed range of 365 km.

Both battery packs are paired with a front-mounted electric motor, with the 40kWh version producing 129 hp. Fast-charging capability remains a highlight, with Tata Motors stating that the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 26 minutes using a 65kW DC fast charger. A 15-minute charge is said to add up to 135 km of driving range.

Tata continues to offer a lifetime, unlimited-kilometre warranty on the battery, which remains a strong reassurance for EV buyers.

Exterior Design Updates

The facelift brings subtle but noticeable changes to the Punch EV’s exterior. The front bumper has been redesigned with a cleaner look and a closed-off grille, while the black trim previously connecting the headlamps has been removed. The Y-shaped LED DRLs and centrally mounted charging flap have been retained.

New 16-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels inspired by larger Tata EVs have been introduced, along with three new exterior colour options paired with a contrasting black roof. At the rear, connected LED tail-lamps now align the EV visually with the updated ICE Punch. Ground clearance remains at 195 mm, and water-wading capability stands at 450 mm.

Interior and Feature Highlights

Inside, the Punch EV facelift retains its familiar dashboard layout, with updated trim finishes. Higher variants are equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a matching 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Depending on the variant, features include wireless charging, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, connected car technology, and a 360-degree camera.

Safety equipment continues to be a strong point, with six airbags offered as standard across the range, along with electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX mounts, and high-beam assist.

Market Position and Rivals

The Punch EV facelift continues to sit between the Tiago EV and Nexon EV in Tata’s electric portfolio. In the broader market, it competes directly with the Citroen eC3 in the entry-level electric SUV space.

With revised pricing, extended range options, and incremental feature upgrades, the updated Punch EV strengthens Tata Motors’ presence in the affordable EV segment, which remains one of the fastest-growing categories in the Indian market.
