BMW has introduced the BMW M2 CS in India, bringing the most extreme version of its compact M performance car to the market. The limited-run model is priced at Rs 1.7 crore (ex-showroom) and will be available in very small numbers.
The M2 CS becomes only the second CS-badged BMW model to reach India, following the launch of the M4 CS in 2024. Designed as a more track-oriented version of the standard M2, the new variant features higher power output, weight reduction measures and revised chassis components.

BMW M2 CS Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the M2 CS retains the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six petrol engine, but with revised internals and stronger engine mounts.
The engine now produces 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque, representing an increase of 50 hp and 50 Nm compared to the standard M2. These figures are identical to those of the larger M4 Competition.
BMW claims the coupe can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, while the electronically limited top speed stands at 302 km/h.
Unlike the regular M2, which is also offered with a manual gearbox, the CS variant is available only with an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive configuration.
Weight Reduction and Chassis Changes
To improve track performance, BMW has focused on reducing weight and refining the chassis setup.
The M2 CS is around 30 kg lighter than the standard M2, thanks to components such as a carbon-fibre roof, carbon-fibre boot lid and carbon exterior mirror caps. Several interior elements also feature carbon-fibre trim.
The suspension has been reworked with M-specific tuning for springs, dampers and chassis control systems, while the car sits 8 mm lower than the regular M2 to improve handling and stability during high-speed driving.

BMW M2 CS Design Updates
Visually, the M2 CS remains similar to the standard model but features several distinct elements.
At the front, the coupe gets a revised grille design and a new front splitter to improve airflow and cooling. One of the most noticeable additions is the set of staggered forged alloy wheels, measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, finished in a gold colour.
These wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres as standard, while buyers can opt for track-oriented tyres at no extra cost.
The rear design stands out with a large integrated ducktail spoiler, a more aggressive rear diffuser and quad exhaust outlets finished in matte black.
BMW will offer the M2 CS in four exterior colours: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey and Velvet Blue.

BMW M2 CS Interior and Features

Inside the cabin, the biggest highlight is a set of carbon-fibre bucket seats wrapped in leather upholstery with signature M colours. The seats feature electric adjustment and heating but do not include ventilation.
The interior also incorporates carbon-fibre trim across the dashboard, centre console and door panels, along with an Alcantara-finished M steering wheel.
Despite its track-focused nature, the coupe still includes several comfort features such as a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and parking assistant.
BMW M2 CS Price and Availability
The BMW M2 CS is priced at Rs 1.7 crore (ex-showroom) in India, making it significantly more expensive than the standard M2, which is currently priced around Rs 1.02 crore.
BMW has not revealed the exact number of units allocated for the Indian market, but the company has confirmed that only a limited quantity will be available.
