Mini has commenced bookings for the Mini Cooper 1965 Victory Edition in India. The special edition hatchback marks 61 years since the brand’s win at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally and will be offered in limited numbers for the Indian market.
Interested customers will need to pre-book early, as allocations for India are expected to be restricted. While the edition will be available globally with both combustion and electric powertrains, India will receive the combustion-powered Cooper S variant equipped with the JCW Pack.

Based on the Three-Door Cooper

The Mini Cooper 1965 Victory Edition is derived from the standard two-door Cooper hatchback. It introduces several cosmetic enhancements over the regular Cooper S.
On the outside, the car is finished in an exclusive Chili Red paint scheme. A white stripe runs across the bonnet, roof and rear hatch. The doors and rear pillars carry ‘52’ decals in white with a racetrack-inspired pattern, referencing the competition number of the 1965 rally-winning car.
Depending on the market, the edition also features two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, a twin-bubble rear spoiler and a centrally mounted tailpipe beneath the diffuser. A red ‘1965 Victory Edition’ badge is positioned under the rear windscreen within the white stripe.
The JCW Pack adds ‘John Cooper Works’ badging on the grille and rear hatch, blacked-out Mini emblems and gloss-black exterior trim elements.
Edition-Specific Interior Details
Inside, the cabin retains the Cooper’s existing layout while incorporating commemorative touches. The door sills carry ‘1965 Victory Edition’ branding, and the doors reference rally driver Timo Mäkinen and co-driver Paul Easter, who secured the Monte Carlo victory.

The leather-wrapped sports steering wheel features a multi-colour 6 o’clock marker and a ‘1965’ emblem. The same emblem appears on the centre storage lid, which is finished in a fabric-like material with a loop-style opener. The key fob also receives a black finish with a ‘52’ insignia.
Mini Cooper 1965 Victory Edition Engine & Performance

Mechanically, the special edition uses the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine found in the Cooper S. The unit produces 204hp and 300Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission driving the front wheels.
Mini claims a 0–100kph time of 6.6 seconds, with a top speed just under 240kph.
